Safe Sports Policy
Cricket BC’s Commitment to Safe Sport
Everyone who participates in cricket, whether as a player, coach, official, umpire, volunteer, or fan, has the right to enjoy the game in a welcoming, courteous, and safe environment, according to Cricket BC. We are dedicated to making sure that no one is subjected to mistreatment, harassment, or discrimination while training, competing, or thriving.
Our Program for Safe Sport
- The Safe Sport Program of Cricket BC aims to:
- Increase awareness of wrongdoing in athletics
- Encourage candid and continuous communication
- Clubs, coaches, officials, athletes, parents, and volunteers should all receive training and resources.
- Encourage an environment where integrity, safety, and respect are valued at all game levels.
Cricket BC is in charge of internally managing safe and confidential reporting.
In accordance with Sport Canada’s Safe Sport guidelines, Cricket BC has set up an internal reporting and response procedure to guarantee openness, equity, and confidentiality when handling Safe Sport issues.
Cricket BC has designated a qualified internal Safe Sport Officer who is trained to receive, evaluate, and handle complaints pertaining to conduct violations, even though it has not yet appointed an external Independent Third Party. Strict secrecy, professionalism, and objectivity are applied to every report. In order to protect participants in all programs and activities, Cricket BC is dedicated to maintaining Safe Sport standards and constantly looks to align with best practices.
Bringing Up a Concern
We urge you to speak up if you have seen, experienced, or suspect a conduct violation. Every report will be handled with the highest discretion and care.
